Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre on the Exeter Canal Basin, provides a contemporary hub for outdoor activities for young people and adults from Exeter, Devon and across the region.

The Centre and its activities for groups & individuals, run all-year round.

This includes school holiday activities, adult courses, Instructor Training and corporate away days, families & friends.

There is a wide and varied programmes of water and land-based activities including:-

Functions And Training Facilities Too!

The state of the art purpose built Centre is also ideal for functions, seminars and conferences as well as birthdays and corporate away days, whether linked to an activity or not. Training rooms from 24 -101 square metres are available to hire.

The Haven Banks Story

Established in 1979. The Centre has expanded from these early days of running kayaking from two wooden sheds on the canal basin. Now in our 35th year of providing outdoor adventure opportunities the Centre is renowned as the regions première outdoor education and training providers with facilities which are second to none.

You can be assured you will be offered the very safest experience.

The centre is a recognised Royal Yachting Association Training Centre, holds an Adventurous Activity Licence, is an approved British Canoe Union Training Centre and is quality approved by Learning Outside the Classoom. Parents also benefit from the Centre being registered with Ofsted as a childcare provision during the school holidays.
